On February 18, 2023, the Aurora 1st Seventh-day Church welcomed Pastor Jose R. Alarcon and his wife, Dina, to our pulpit as he begins his ministry to our church. Pastor Alarcon and Dina relocated to the Rocky Mountain Conference from the Central California Conference where he has served as the Senior Pastor for the Lemoore and Coalinga churches since 2018.

Prior to serving in the Central California Conference, he served as a pastor for 9 years and Executive Secretary for five years in the Southern New England Conference. His other roles included senior pastor in the Northeastern Conference (NY) and an Academy Teacher in the Greater New York Conference. Pastor Alarcon has a MDiv degree from Andrews University and a BA in Theology and History from Atlantic Union College.
